Also known as
Bitterwood, Bitter-Ash, and Amargo. Quassia wood is used as a natural insecticide,
in folk medicine it had been used as a digestive, and extracts of the wood have been used as a
flavoring in soft drinks, aperitifs, and bitters. Two different tree species are marketed and used interchangeably as Quassia - Quassia amara and Picrasma exelsa. Current lot (Year 2024) is large pieces.
