Pinquica, Kinnickinnick, Bearberry, and Pinemat Manzanita. May be from a couple different species, usually A. uva ursi or A. pungens. Uva Ursi is a
popular, non-fragrant, green leaf for potpourri blends and measures about
0.5-inches long. As with any natural product, however, uva ursi leaves may have
imperfections. Uva ursi also has been used in traditional medicine for urinary
tract disorders, including infections of the kidney, bladder, and urethra. More
scientific evidence is needed to rate the effectiveness of uva ursi for these
uses.
