Description
Also called Roselle
and Jamaica. Usually sourced from North Africa, these hibiscus flowers are full
flavored and have a rosy, tart flavor. Whole hibiscus flowers are preferred for
making agua frescas. Generally not recommended for wreaths or craft projects,
as many flowers will be broken.
Note
Hibiscus is sometimes intercropped with peanuts. Product samples are tested for absence of peanut allergen proteins, but product may contain rare traces of peanuts.
